Job Summary
Collaborate with machine builders, mechanical designers, and controls engineers to install, repair, and rebuild electrical systems for custom automation equipment. Build high-quality control panels and machine wiring in accordance with the National Electrical Code, interpreting schematics to wire, troubleshoot, and support machine tear-downs, installations, and commissioning. Take ownership of your project portion, communicating status and technical challenges to the Lead Electrician and Electrical Manager to keep schedules on track while documenting modifications for cross-functional teams. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace. Full-time, hourly onsite role in Holland, MI with standard 7am-3:30pm hours; $17-$28 per hour based on experience. Travel up to 20% for customer installations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent certification
- 2+ years of electrical experience
- Experience interpreting electrical schematics, machine wiring, panel building, and troubleshooting
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and Excel
- Ability to work in industrial environments (lift 50lbs as required, bending, kneeling, climbing ladders, climbing beneath machines, etc.)
- Ability to obtain Hi-Lo, aerial platform, and/or overhead crane licenses
- Ability to provide your own hand tools
