Job Summary
Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits using ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes to ensure compatibility and safety. Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures with hand and power tools while interpreting blueprints, NEC codes, and specifications. Connect wires to circuit breakers and transformers, and service streetlights, intercom systems, or electrical control systems. Work from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs in varying temperatures and inclement weather, adhering to all company policies and reporting to multiple job sites as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- 2 - 5 years of experience in electrical field; or equivalent combination of vocational training and experience
- Ability to follow electrical code manuals to install and repair electrical systems
- Must be able to multi-task, work with minimal supervision, follow written and oral instructions, show attention to detail and demonstrate problem-solving skills
- Must be able to pass post-offer pre-employment drug screen, and may be required to satisfactorily complete additional background checks as required (i.e. DMV, criminal history)
- Must adhere to all company policy and procedures
- Must be available, and have the means to report to multiple job sites as assigned
- Must be able to correctly identify all colors of a color-coded cable/wires and see close vision, distance vision, depth perception, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Prior military experience
- HS diploma or GED equivalent
