Job Summary
Perform electrical maintenance and repair work throughout the mill, including maintaining and replacing motor bearings, control panels, switches, and wiring. Inspect transformers, maintain and repair all breakers, and perform electromechanical rebuilds of plant production equipment. Operate overhead cranes and fork trucks to move supplies, interpret blueprints and wiring diagrams, and assist in installing new equipment or relocating existing machinery. Maintain a safe and clean work area while utilizing standard electrical repair tools and testing equipment. Requires a two-year post-high school education, passing Ramsey RR47-A test, and industrial electrical experience. Reports to the Maintenance Supervisor with generally independent work.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a two (2) year post high school education (2 yr. Vocational Technical School)
- Successfully receive a passing score on the Ramsey RR47-A test or equivalent and applicable test stand
- Must be able to demonstrate electrical knowledge with a walk through of prints
- Must have working knowledge of basic mechanical and electrical
- Previous electrical experience in industrial/manufacturing environment

- Tac-welding skills
