Job Summary
Journeyman Electrician needed to support DHI’s Water Management service line. Responsibilities include electrical installation, rig-up/rig-down, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, commissioning, and support for water treatment and automated equipment systems. Install and maintain 480VAC/277VAC/120VAC systems, disconnects, breakers, transformers, motor starters, VFDs, and control systems. Read and interpret electrical plans and schematics; troubleshoot with multimeters, meggers, and clamp meters. Ensure NEC compliance and safety standards; coordinate with Automation Technicians and SCADA personnel during installations and commissioning. Travel is required; work outdoors in field environments and lead/participate in rapid deployment of treatment systems. Strong problem-solving, teamwork, time management, and communication skills are essential.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- Active Journeyman Electrician License
- 5+ years of relevant electrical experience
- Experience with 480VAC power distribution, MCCs, VFDs, transformers, and industrial electrical installations
- Ability to read electrical plans and install/terminate electrical equipment
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be eligible to drive a company vehicle
- Willing to travel and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Desired Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- Active Journeyman Electrician License
- 5+ years of hands-on electrical experience in industrial, oilfield, water treatment, or heavy commercial environments
- Master Electrician License preferred
