Job Summary
Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical systems, machinery, and plant equipment throughout an aluminum manufacturing facility. Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on motors, motor control centers, transformers, and PLC-controlled automated systems. Install, maintain, and route conduit, wiring, and cable trays while reading electrical schematics and blueprints. Respond to equipment breakdowns and emergencies, support maintenance shutdowns, and perform electrical testing with diagnostic tools. Maintain accurate work orders, ensure compliance with OSHA and safety regulations, and participate in root cause analysis. This role supports production operations in Crown's metal packaging facility, where candidates may work rotating shifts and handle emergency call-ins.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Completion of an electrical apprenticeship program, technical school, or equivalent experience
- Journeyman Electrician license preferred where applicable
- Minimum of 3 years of industrial electrical maintenance experience

- Working knowledge of industrial electrical systems up to 480V and higher-voltage systems
- Experience troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment and automated manufacturing processes
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings
- Knowledge of electrical safety procedures including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
- Strong electrical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Understanding of AC/DC circuits, motors, controls, instrumentation, and automation systems
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple maintenance tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing setting
- Proficient in the use of electrical testing and diagnostic equipment
- Commitment to safety and operational excellence
- Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including arc-flash protection
- Ability to lift 50lbs or more
