Job Summary
Electrician responsible for electrical service, installations, alterations and repair on building systems at water treatment facilities, including 120/208V and 600V distribution, emergency power distribution, lighting, and fire alarm systems. Perform preventive maintenance, review work requests, determine materials/tools, reference blueprints/shop drawings, ensure compliance with current regulatory codes and provincial electrical code, maintain inventory, and support on-call/shift work with potential weekend requirements. Travel between service areas near Altamonte Springs, FL, with a focus on safety and coordination with end users; strong reading comprehension of technical information and ability to work with MS Word/Excel/tablets in a field environment.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Journey-level electrician
- High school Diploma or GED
- Must maintain a valid driver's license.
- Two years of mechanical work experience
- Ability to read and comprehend written technical information
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
- Experience with electrical service, installations, alterations and repair
- Knowledge of 120/208V and 600V distribution systems
- Familiarity with EPA standards and regulatory codes
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 75 lbs
- Experience with blueprints/shop drawings
- Proficiency with MS Word/Excel/tablets
- On-call and shift-work fitness
