Job Summary
Layout conduit systems, lighting, and control systems while analyzing blueprints and installing motor feeders per NEC specifications. Troubleshoot electrical assemblies, maintain workstations, and ensure all projects meet accuracy expectations and safety protocols. Manage materials, participate in toolbox talks, and provide direction and mentorship to apprentices. Work within assigned shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, while driving lean manufacturing principles and sustaining compliance with OSHA and customer-specific requirements.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Completion of an apprenticeship or equivalent work experience (8,000 hours)
- 10-25% travel
- Availability between the hours of 6am-6pm or 6pm to 6am depending on assigned shift
- Ability to layout conduit systems, various lighting systems, basic control systems, and feeders
- Ability to analyze blueprints effectively
- Ability to obtain, organize, and manage materials effectively
- Ability to accept increasing responsibility
- Ability to work without direct supervision
- Ability to complete an overall job layout for projects of limited scope and size
- Ability to comprehend and incorporate specifications effectively
- Ability to install, maintain, and/or troubleshoot basic electrical systems in compliance with the National Electric Code (NEC)
- Ability to consistently complete portions of projects on time, within budget, and in a safe manner
- Ability to consistently follow workplace safety procedures
- Ability to immediately identify, correct, and/or report any unsafe acts, conditions, or incidents in a timely manner
- Ability to participate in toolbox talks, safety audits, and related safety functions
- Ability to coach and inspire General Assemblers/Apprentices
