Job Summary
Repairs, installs, replaces, and tests electrical circuits, equipment, and appliances, including high voltage and AC/DC systems. Inspects, tests, and performs preventive and corrective maintenance on lighting, signal, communications, and power circuits while isolating defects using testing instruments. Fabricates electrical control panels, replaces faulty switches and sockets, and maintains emergency generators and high voltage switch gear. Dismantles machinery to replace defective parts and performs all work in accordance with OSHA, local building codes, and established safety procedures. Inspects completed work for conformance with requirements and maintains a clean, safe workplace. Trains other technicians on basic trade skills and provides mentorship and oversight.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 4-6 years construction or maintenance experience in commercial environments

- Ability to read and decipher blueprints, as-built construction documents and electrical diagrams
- Complete all documentation required in compliance with a computerized maintenance management system
