Job Summary
Inspect electrical equipment, checking motor bearings, lubrication, commutation, and signs of wear. Diagnose electrical troubles using testing equipment and determine the best repair approach to minimize production interruption. Dismantle, clean, repair, replace, install, maintain, and assemble electrical equipment, including mechanical repairs on cranes. Erect scaffolds, perform simple rigging, and operate machine tools like drill presses and grinders. Occasionally perform arc welding and cutting torch work, operate high lift equipment, and check fluid and gas levels. Report conditions requiring maintenance work. Requires high school diploma, 3-5 years industrial maintenance experience, and fall protection certification. Hourly wage is $38.02.
