Job Summary
Electrician role covering Launceston and surrounding areas, responsible for installing, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in social housing properties. Duties include routine repairs and upgrades to lighting, sockets, distribution boards, heating systems, and fire alarms; responding to tenant-reported faults with strong customer service; working in void properties to prepare for re-letting; ensuring compliance with health and safety and electrical regulations; collaborating with other trades within a property maintenance team; maintaining professional conduct in tenants’ homes. Required Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671)
- City & Guilds 2391 or 2394/2395 (Inspection and Testing) – preferred
- Proven experience in domestic electrical work, ideally within social or residential housing
- Full UK driving licence
