Job Summary
Install, troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain electrical and electronic components on production machinery and electrical infrastructure. Run new wire, bend conduit, install switches, and perform electronic tests while ensuring compliance with applicable codes. Provide emergency repairs during production by diagnosing malfunctions, locating causes, and removing defective parts. Conduct scheduled maintenance on packaging and production machines, including mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting. Document all work to ensure accurate maintenance records and communicate equipment status between shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Technical training
- High school diploma
- 3 years of experience in production machine repair
- Able to read and write English
- Strong experience with PLC troubleshooting
- Installation and repair of A/C D/C motors
- Working with up to 600 volts
- Basic use of computer, tablet, scanner, iPad
- Working knowledge of the national electrical codes applied in the industrial arena
- Must stand, walk for prolonged periods of time
- Climb stairs
- Regularly required to bend, stoop, reach
- Lift in excess of 75 lbs. on an occasional basis
- Exposed to varying temperatures hot/cold
