Job Summary
Maintenance of Power Distribution panels, transformers, cables, diesel generators and electrical distribution equipment. Maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on a variety of rental gensets, customer equipment and tools. Report machine condition to Management. Responsible for service documentation. Occasional travel to customer sites. Rotational on-call schedule. Demonstrate equipment for customers. Train lower-level technicians as needed. Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts. Other duties assigned as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 3-5 years of experience with repairing and maintaining diesel engines, electrical installs, troubleshooting, control logic or HVAC equipment
- Intermediate to advanced diagnostic and repair skills for mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, diesel, pneumatic and other systems
- Strong mechanical and electrical background knowledge particularly with various engines
- Knowledge of electrical codes and electrical equipment
- Understanding of wiring schematics and diagrams
- Own the tools applicable to position
- Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs
