Job Summary
Conduct thorough inspections and preventive maintenance on industrial electrical systems to ensure reliability and performance. Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues using hand tools, power tools, and advanced testing equipment. Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems including wiring, conduits, switches, transformers, and circuit breakers while reading schematics and blueprints. Ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety standards across industrial and warehouse settings, including outdoor projects exposed to extreme weather. Must drive to customer sites and work in diverse conditions involving heights, confined spaces, and prolonged standing.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Industrial Electrician or similar role
- Valid Driver's License
- Must be able to drive to customer sites
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems and components in an industrial setting
- Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings
- Familiarity with high-voltage systems and equipment
- Experience working with low-voltage systems
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment effectively
- Must lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds
- Prolonged standing, walking, bending, and kneeling periods
- Close visual attention is necessary for reading schematics and detailed work on computer screens
- Good overall vision, with or without correction
- Accurately distinguishing colors for wiring and safety signals
- Adequate hearing
- Working at heights or in confined areas
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of commercial electrical installations is desirable
