Job Summary
Electrician Apprentice responsible for the installation and repair of automated industrial control equipment, including control panels, loop controllers, variable frequency drives, solid-state starters, level controls, and ethernet motor control centers. Must install and repair motors and equipment across 120/240/480V, read electrical and mechanical prints, interpret schematics, and perform preventive maintenance with documentation. Roles include use of electrical test equipment, basic hand tools, and machine shop equipment; strong troubleshooting and analytical skills; familiarity with MSHA, lockout/tagout, NFPA 70E, and PPE; ability to work in varying conditions, lift up to 50 pounds, and travel to local vendors or plant locations as needed. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1 Year experience as Electrician - Apprentice
- Associates degree preferred
- Strong machine electrical background
- I/O knowledge (hardwired/discrete, digital/ethernet, and analog)
- Ability to read electrical schematics
- Knowledge of safety practices such as MSHA, lockout/tagout, NFPA 70E and proper use of PPE
