Job Summary
Electrician Apprentice at Cornell University on the Ithaca campus. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Mechanical aptitude for equipment repair and maintenance
- Excellent verbal and written skills, customer relations skills, and the ability to work in a team
- Must belong to the local Electrician Union or be able to join within 30 days after starting employment at Cornell
- Must have and maintain a valid US driver’s license; may be required to operate a motor vehicle to travel to/from job sites
- Ability to maintain a safe work environment
- Ability to lift and/or move at least 50 pounds
- Ability to wear a respirator and other employer-provided safety equipment
- Possibility of overtime and weekend work
- Able to ascend and descend heights and have agility and freedom of movement
