Job Summary
Maintain all electrical equipment including safety systems on offshore production platforms by replacing faulty wiring, relays, switches, and position sensing devices. Receive instructions to prepare work orders for repair, maintenance, installation, and testing tasks while following safety procedures and maintaining safety data. Prepare purchase orders and manage equipment inventory levels, ensuring current knowledge of government and company codes. Work a 21x21 schedule with a terminal in Houma, LA; authorization to work in the US without sponsorship is required. Travel to the worksite via marine or helicopter transport may be necessary.
Required Qualifications
- Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from Wood
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 3+ years of offshore electrician experience on a production platform
- experience with medium to high voltage
- Must be able to travel to worksite via marine or helicopter transport
- Must be able to reside at worksite on a predetermined work schedule
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
- 3-5 years offshore experience with 4160 voltage, PLC and switchgear experience
