Job Summary
Install, troubleshoot, repair, modify, and adjust electrical power distribution systems, equipment, and control devices used in production, laboratory, office, and utility areas. Read engineering drawings, machine assembly prints, blueprints, and vendor diagrams to work to indicated accuracy and specifications. Troubleshoot and test alternating current and direct current rotating equipment such as motors and generators ranging from fractional to hundreds of horsepower. Install, adjust, and align motor drive components including belts and couplings. Maintain current knowledge of National and Local Electrical Code revisions. Complete daily work records, P.M. Route Sheets, and stock withdrawal forms using established reporting procedures. Drive a company vehicle with a valid license and clean driving record. Requires a current Journeyman or Master Electrician license in Minnesota, three years of industrial maintenance experience, and ability to work without sponsorship.
Required Qualifications
- Incumbent must possess and maintain a current State of Minnesota Journeyman Electrician's License or a Master Electrician's License
- Possess a current and valid Driver's License
- Trained and possess three years (3) industrial maintenance experience in the construction, installation, testing, repairing, modification, and adjustment of electrical power distribution systems, lighting systems, AC and DC motors, and control wiring
- Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum combined total of five (5) years of work experience as a licensed electrician with no less than three (3) years working as an industrial plant licensed maintenance electrician and the remaining years as a licensed construction electrician
