Job Summary
Knowledgeable in shipboard electrical installations, troubleshooting and repair with regulatory bodies such as ABS, Coast Guard, IEEE, and NAVY. Experience in installing 440 and 220V temporary services, including shore power and rotation checks, including Lock Out/Tag Out safety procedures. Must be proficient in shipboard electrical installations, troubleshooting, and repair in accordance with regulatory bodies such as ABS, Coast Guard, IEEE, and NAVY. Work from blueprints, drawings, layouts, work orders and perform maintenance per NEC and local codes. Position is full-time with travel local to occasional out-of-area/overnight as needed; high school degree or equivalent plus apprentice/trade schooling; 2nd Class with 3+ years marine/shipyard experience. Travel mostly local; on-site attendance required; shift hours may be long and include weekends; physical demands include lifting up to 70 pounds; onsite in Norfolk, VA.
