Job Summary
Electrical Technician role focused on diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems in ground support equipment and vehicles. Responsibilities include installation, maintenance, and repair of wiring, lighting, switches, sensors, and connectors; testing batteries, alternators, starters, and charging systems; using multimeters and diagnostic tools to measure voltage, current, and continuity; replacing fuses, relays, and damaged wiring; interpreting wiring diagrams and schematics; organizing wiring harnesses; reporting faults to supervisors; maintaining a safe, organized work area; and performing additional duties to support efficiency. Requires reading wiring diagrams, basic automotive/equipment electrical knowledge, ability to use hand tools and testing equipment, teamwork, and a commitment to safety.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 - 2 years of electrical training or similar work experience
- Basic knowledge of automotive or equipment electrical systems
- Ability to use hand tools and electrical testing equipment
- Ability to read and interpret basic wiring diagrams and schematics
- Willingness to learn, follow instructions, and work in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to safety
