Job Summary
Design, modify, and upgrade new and existing power plant electrical systems by developing single-line, relay, metering, and wiring diagrams. Produce electrical wiring drawings, review vendor drawings, and conceptualize plans to convey wiring termination requirements. Accompany teams on field walkdowns and data gathering at client facilities while maintaining nuclear station access credentials. Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams to support initial design requirements and interface with other disciplines in the power plant design process.
Required Qualifications
- An Associate's Degree in drafting, or a high school diploma and equivalent technical design experience
- Five or more years of detailed wiring design experience in the development of single-line, and relay and metering diagrams, including medium-voltage and 480V systems
- Experience in the review of electrical layout drawings involving electrical equipment outlines and interface points
- Familiarity with digital control systems
- Extensive Microstation and/or AutoCAD design experience on power plants or large facility projects
- A thorough understanding of drafting and design practices and theories
- The ability to interface and communicate with engineering and design teams of other disciplines in the power plant design process
- Capable of being badged for unescorted access to a nuclear station
- Hybrid work arrangement
