Job Summary
Design, modify, and upgrade new and existing power plant electrical systems by developing single-line, relay, metering, and wiring diagrams under the direction of the Electrical Project Lead. Produce electrical wiring drawings, review vendor drawings, and assist engineers with initial design requirements. Accompany teams on field walkdowns and data gathering at client facilities. This role requires a hybrid work arrangement and the ability to be badged for unescorted access to a nuclear station. Required Qualifications
- Hybrid work arrangement
- Associate's Degree in drafting, or a high school diploma and equivalent technical design experience
- Five or more years of detailed wiring design experience in the development of single-line, and relay and metering diagrams, including medium-voltage and 480V systems
- Experience in the review of electrical layout drawings involving electrical equipment outlines and interface points
- Familiarity with digital control systems
- Extensive Microstation and/or AutoCAD design experience on power plants or large facility projects
- A thorough understanding of drafting and design practices and theories
- The ability to interface and communicate with engineering and design teams of other disciplines in the power plant design process
- Capable of being badged for unescorted access to a nuclear station
