Job Summary
Provide training to juniors and seniors through classroom instruction, project-based learning, and hands-on skills to prepare students for college and careers in electrical trades. Maintain discipline in classrooms and work sites while communicating with parents, teachers, and school counselors. Monitor student academic progress, including grades, attendance, and hands-on performance skills, and implement 504 plans and IEPs for students with diverse learning needs. Keep current with developments in the electrical industries. This instructor role requires 600 field hours in electrical trades and eligibility for a 7-12 Career & Technical Education certification. The position is a 10-month term reporting to the Career & Tech Building Principal.
Required Qualifications
- 600 field hours in electrical trades
- Have or be eligible for Electrical/Electronic Technology 7-12 Career & Technical Education certification
Desired Qualifications
- 3-5 years experience in electrical trades (commercial, residential, industrial)
