Electrical Test & Trials Worker

Job Summary
Perform comprehensive electrical testing, including sea trials, prior to vessel delivery. Diagnose and correct circuit issues inhibiting testing processes by rewire motors, VFDs, transformers, and control circuits. Communicate test outcomes to customers and regulatory agents while preparing status reports and documenting deficiencies. Collaborate with mechanical personnel on system integration and adhere to safety and quality procedures. Participate in overtime as needed. This role ensures vessels meet all customer requirements and regulatory compliance standards for the marine industry.
Required Qualifications
- 1 years of electrical test and trials experience
- Strong knowledge of shipbuilding processes
- Industry standards knowledge
- Regulatory compliance knowledge
- Proficiency in interpreting electrical drawings
- Proficiency in interpreting specifications
- Self-motivation
- Effective communication skills
- Coordination skills
- Hands-on experience with Motor controllers
- Hands-on experience with Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
- Hands-on experience with Transformers
- Hands-on experience with AC/DC voltage systems
- Hands-on experience with Relays
- Skilled use of multimeters
- Excellent troubleshooting ability
- Ability to work in confined and enclosed spaces
- Capability to climb and work at elevations over 5 feet
- Ability to wear and work with a respirator
