Job Summary
Electrical Test Specialist (Starlink PCB) at SpaceX responsible for ownership of state-of-the-art testing equipment for manufacturing PCBs, development and operationalization of tooling and testing technologies for high-volume production, and collaboration with engineering and production teams. Key duties include completing standardized testing and root-cause/R&D projects; debugging hardware and software failures; programming, loading, and operating automated equipment; triaging non-conforming product; providing design feedback to engineering; driving continuous improvement for yield, performance, and cost; defining maintenance and calibration schedules; troubleshooting complex problems with minimal direction; and willingness to travel to other SpaceX sites/vendors including internationally. Required qualifications emphasize a high school diploma or equivalent and 2+ years in manufacturing (or a relevant engineering/science degree), plus experience with electrical test equipment, PCB failure analysis, and ability to read technical drawings/datasheets. Additional ITAR requirements apply and travel/overtime may be needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate
- 2+ years of professional experience in a hands-on manufacturing environment; OR bachelor's degree in an engineering, math or science discipline
- Experience with maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical test equipment, including replacing/reworking components (amplifiers, wire wraps, pogo pins)
- Experience diagnosing PCB failure modes and root cause analysis
- Strong hands-on skillset and comfort with basic tools and electro-mechanical tasks
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings, datasheets, and written work instructions
