Job Summary
Electrical Test Engineer responsible for developing qualification and acceptance testing equipment for electrical hardware, collaborating with design engineers to translate end-use applications into test plans, owning test-bed design including schematic, PCB layout, component selection, and hardware builds, integrating test beds with environmental equipment, building and deploying software to operate test beds, and building production-friendly test solutions. The role encompasses developing rapid test solutions, supporting qualification and acceptance testing, and working with Build Engineering and Production to optimize reliability and lead times, while leveraging and expanding test capabilities for catalog opportunities and factory design evaluations.
Required Qualifications
- Experience with electrical design and cross-domain thinking across power, filtering, logic, software/firmware, and production constraints
- Proficiency in a standard software language (Python, C#, C++, Java)
- Experience in electrical schematic layout, component selection, and simulation to meet customer requirements
- Hands-on debugging with oscilloscopes, multimeters, and logic analyzers
- Strong analytical thinking and fast learning; ability to contribute across diverse part categories and manufacturing processes
- Independent and creative mindset; able to work with ownership and minimal oversight
- Knowledge of DO-160, MIL-STD, or related qualification/certification frameworks (Plus)
