Job Summary
Electrical Technician responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining manufacturing and facility equipment at Gore's Elkton, MD sites. Perform preventive maintenance, calibration, and breakdown support across production systems, collaborate with engineers to implement improvements, document maintenance details in CMMS, fabricate/modify parts with machine shop tools, and coordinate contractor support. Must read electrical, mechanical, and fabrication drawings, work safely in an industrial environment, and be able to travel up to 5%.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 years of hands-on electrical troubleshooting and maintenance experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
- Ability to read electrical, mechanical, and fabrication drawings to troubleshoot equipment, complete repairs, and fabricate components
- Experience with Allen-Bradley PLC programming software and automation networks/operating systems
- Working knowledge of mechanical systems including power transmission, hydraulics, pneumatics, and vacuum systems
- Working knowledge of safety and electrical codes including OSHA, NEC, and NFPA standards
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to travel up to 5% and to work on-call/overtime as needed
