Job Summary
Electrical Technician role in Serco Estates at Wishaw General Hospital. Maintain, repair, and improve critical electrical systems supporting hospital operations; provide specialist electrical advice to estates staff and contractors; carry out planned and reactive maintenance; fault-finding, testing, inspection, and diagnosis; installation, repair, calibration, and validation in line with regulations; operate calibrated test equipment for wiring systems, emergency generators, and critical systems; participate in on-call rota; maintain documentation; mentor apprentices and maintenance staff; requires recognised electrical trade qualification and experience in complex building environments; knowledge of BS7671 and safe systems of work; experience with BMS, medical gases, HVAC, or similar; ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment; PVG scheme vetting and health questionnaire; hybrid working arrangement.
Required Qualifications
- A recognised electrical trade qualification
- Experience working as an Electrician in a complex building environment
- Strong fault-finding skills
- Knowledge of electrical regulations BS7671
- Experience with Building Management Systems, medical gases, HVAC systems, or similar
- Ability to use calibrated test equipment
- Vetting and PVG Scheme checks
- On-call availability
