Job Summary
Execute field direction for maintenance, alteration, repair, and launch preparation across MARS facilities, Launch Pads, and Airfield. Operate ground support equipment including fork-lifts, man-lifts, and boom-lifts while maintaining a tidy worksite. Comprehend and complete required paperwork, communicate delays to supervisors, and provide input on functional upgrades. Perform tasks safely in accordance with VSA/MARS Safety, Quality, and Management Policies. Support alternate shifts during missions and customer requests. Requires NASA Level 1 High Pressure Operator certification, valid driver's license, and ability to obtain a NASA credential. Full-time permanent position with competitive pay.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Experience in the performance of operations, maintenance, alteration, and repair of complex mechanical, fluid/hydraulic, pressure systems, structural maintenance and corrosion control, HVAC systems or Electrical systems
- Must have or possess the ability to obtain certification as a NASA Level 1 High Pressure Operator
- Formal training and certification for operation of fork-lifts, scissor man-lifts, and boom-lifts
- Valid driver's license
- Knowledge of advanced mechanical systems and devices including their principles of operation and functional design
- Demonstrate the proper use of hand and power tools (including torque wrenches, precision measuring devices) and maintenance support equipment (vacuum and pressure pumps, jacks and lifting devices, access equipment) used in the operation, maintenance, alteration, and repair of pneumatic, cryogenic, hydraulic, electrical, HVAC, and other liquid, and control systems

- Familiar with Microsoft Office or related programs
- Time management with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Demonstrates high professionalism in dealing with confidential and sensitive issues
- Considerable and strenuous physical exertion such as frequent climbing, lifting heavy objects over 50 pounds, crouching, or crawling in restrictive areas
- Must be able to obtain and maintain eligibility for issuance of a NASA credential
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug test
Desired Qualifications
- Technical training from an accredited training school or military service school
- Experience with machine bending conduit
