Job Summary
Install electrical wiring and assemble components in control cabinets and industrial equipment according to assembly drawings and hydraulic diagrams. Cut, strip, bend, and form wire cable and conduit; attach breakers, relays, transformers, and meters to mounting hardware. Solder connections, crimp connectors, and connect power supply wires to machines. Test and adjust electrical assemblies, drill and tap holes for mounting units, and square and align structural components. Program automated machinery using robot controllers and pendants to operate and test for malfunctions. Work hours are 5:00am-3:30pm CST.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school in related field and four to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical manuals, engineering documents, and instructions
- Create and write documentation and marker tags
- Effectively present information and respond to questions from leadership and supervisors
- Calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
- Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Possess and maintain electric tools
- Work hours 5:00am-3:30pm CST
