Job Summary
Electrical Technician II builds, rewires, tests, repairs, and installs wiring harnesses on vehicles and on benches, following blueprints, BOMs, schematics, and P&IDs; conducts functional and safety tests on wiring; participates in daily shop organization and collaborates with customers and team members; requires hands-on assembly techniques, wiring installation on test boxes and automotive components, diagnostic testing, reworks and repairs (crimping, soldering, de-pinning), and basic schematic creation; must be able to troubleshoot electrical systems and operate standard shop equipment in a manufacturing environment; role located in Madras, OR and supports overtime as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 4 years of electrical work experience
- Mechanical aptitude with basic understanding of automotive systems and ability to crimp and solder wires
- Proficient with hand and power tools and able to operate vehicle lifts
- Proficiency in electrical and electronic troubleshooting skills and the ability to understand electronic schematics and electronic part documentation
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of MS Office programs including Word, Excel, and Outlook
