Electrical Technician

Job Summary

Design, develop, modify, and evaluate electronic parts, components, and integrated circuitry for vehicle assemblies while assisting the Electrical Engineer. Participate in electrical integration of systems, processes, and interconnections; use electronic test equipment including multi-meters and oscilloscopes; and perform micro soldering. Analyze power architecture, PCBs, and components to improve system efficiency, select electrical components based on specifications, and develop test strategies with documented procedures. Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and datasheets to ensure conformity to standards. Oversee facility electrical needs to support company operations. Full-time Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m. with occasional weekend work.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering
  • Passion for hardware development
  • Ability to work both independently and with a mentor
  • Ability to be organized and focused in a distracting environment
  • Ability to switch gears amongst multiple tasks quickly
  • Technical drawing production experience
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must possess ability to work in a standard office environment and on production floor
  • Must possess ability to use standard office equipment, including a computer
  • Must possess ability to walk and climb stairs
  • Must possess ability to carry supplies, equipment, and materials up to 40 lbs.
  • Must possess ability to read printed materials on computer screen
  • Must possess ability to communicate in person and over the phone
  • This is a full-time position
  • Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m.- 3:30 p.m. / 40 hours per week
  • This position occasionally requires long hours and weekend work
  • Occasional local travel may be expected for this position on occasion

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with 3D modeling/design/printing
  • integrating subsea acoustic sensors
