Job Summary
Oversee the operation and electrical maintenance of Baggage Handling Systems to ensure continuity of service, performing fault finding and executing both emergency repairs and scheduled maintenance. Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to resolve complex system issues and support operational decision-making during contingencies. Ensure all activities comply with safety, quality, and environmental requirements while proactively identifying risks and improvement opportunities. This 6-month max-term contract supports the safe, reliable movement of passengers at Sydney Airport's premier gateway.
Required Qualifications
- Electrical Trade Qualification
- relevant post-trade training
- certifications
- experience maintaining and fault finding on conveyor or material handling systems
- working knowledge of SCADA systems
- working knowledge of PLCs
- experience working in security-controlled or high-compliance environments (such as airports or similar)
- ability to work at heights
- ability to carry out manual handling tasks
Desired Qualifications
- exposure to Siemens S7
- exposure to Citect SCADA
