Job Summary
Electrical Technician role focused on delivering electrical, fibre and copper infrastructure for data centres and critical infrastructure projects. Responsibilities include reading drawings, planning cable routes, installing containment, rack and stack, fit-off, coordinating with Supervisors, Project Managers and trades, testing and handing over to safety and quality standards, and mentoring apprentices and technicians on site. The ideal candidate has a current VIC Electrical licence, an ACMA licence with fibre/coaxial/structured cabling endorsements, and hands-on experience in electrical delivery, structured cabling, data centres or similar environments. The position is a permanent full-time opportunity in Melbourne with emphasis on safety, workmanship, and leadership progression.
Required Qualifications
- Current VIC Electrical licence - essential
- Current ACMA licence with Structured, Coaxial and Fibre endorsements is highly regarded
- Experience in electrical delivery, structured cabling, construction, data centres or critical infrastructure
- Strong knowledge of safe work practices, installation standards and quality handover
