Job Summary
Electrical Technician responsible for the assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and verification of electro-mechanical systems and electrical assemblies. This role supports both manufacturing and engineering activities by performing electrical and mechanical assembly, conducting functional and acceptance testing, documenting results, and ensuring products meet quality, safety, and customer requirements. Heavy emphasis on interpreting engineering documentation and test procedures to assemble components, install wiring, route cables, and verify proper operation using a range of test equipment. Will perform root-cause analysis, assist with ECOs and process improvements, and maintain thorough production, inspection, and test documentation to support compliant manufacturing.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Associate degree in Manufacturing Technology, Engineering Technology, Industrial Technology, or related field preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment (assembly/electromechanical)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, BOMs, schematics, specifications, and GD&T
- Experience troubleshooting manufacturing and production issues
- Experience using electrical test equipment and tools
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Experience in regulated manufacturing environment (aerospace, defense, medical device)
- IPC certification (IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620, J-STD-001)
- Experience supporting engineering prototype builds and product development
- Understanding of AC/DC circuits, electrical safety, and basic electronics theory
- Physical ability to work on the production floor and lift up to 25 pounds
