Job Summary
Lead the electrical engineering discipline across healthcare, education, and school projects, ensuring full compliance with relevant standards and regulations including HTMs, HBNs, and NHS requirements. Oversee and review designs for LV/HV distribution, lighting, fire detection, emergency systems, security, ICT, and BMS/BAS while championing low-carbon technology integration. Provide authoritative technical leadership from concept through detailed design and construction, approving specifications and collaborating with mechanical, public health, and BIM teams. Mentor a high-performing team, manage resource planning, and implement QA/QC procedures to deliver sustainable, high-performing building solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Degree-qualified in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent)
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) with the IET or equivalent professional body
- Extensive experience (typically 10+ years) in building services electrical design, including leadership of healthcare and education sector projects
- Proven track record of delivering complex electrical designs for hospitals, laboratories, universities, and schools
- All newly hired employees are required to attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location as a condition of employment
