Job Summary
Provide electrical support to the onsite engineering team through advice, guidance, and hands-on technical assistance. Upgrade and maintain site PLC programs and backups, review obsolete systems, and support the electrical duty holder in maintaining site standards. Review site electrical specifications for existing equipment and new installations while assisting with training and upskilling shift engineers and apprentices. Requires an established electrical engineer with controls experience, HNC/HND qualifications, and a proven track record of fault finding in an FMCG environment. Full-time 40-hour rotation includes 4-on/4-off days from 05:30 to 17:30 and nights from 17:30 to 05:30. Join a leading food manufacturer in Northern Ireland.
Required Qualifications
- Time served electrical engineer
- HNC/HND in electrical engineering or equivalent
- A good understanding of working with Allen Bradley and Siemans PLCs
- A proven track record of fault finding from a FMCG environment
- Excellent time management skills
- Flexibility as and when required
