Job Summary

Lead the design, integration, and analysis of aircraft electrical systems for commercial and military programs, covering AC/DC power distribution, data buses, and audio communication. Develop schematics and wiring diagrams, perform load and fault analyses, and troubleshoot complex installation issues. Serve as technical lead on projects from concept through certification, coordinating with cross-functional teams and ensuring compliance with FAA regulations and industry standards. Mentor junior engineers while identifying opportunities to improve design standards and product reliability.

  • ability to develop and review electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, installation drawings, and engineering documentation
  • ability to design and analyze complex AC/DC power generation, distribution, and protection systems
  • ability to lead the integration and analysis of aircraft data bus architectures and communication systems
  • ability to design, integrate, and troubleshoot aircraft audio, communication, and electrical systems
  • ability to perform electrical load analyses, fault analyses, wire sizing calculations, and system verification activities
  • ability to lead technical investigations and resolve complex electrical design and installation issues
  • ability to support aircraft modification, repair, retrofit, and certification programs from concept through implementation
  • ability to serve as the technical lead on engineering projects and provide guidance to junior engineers and cross-functional teams
  • ability to coordinate with Structural Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Program Management, and Customers to ensure successful project execution
  • ability to review engineering changes, approve design revisions, and maintain configuration control
  • ability to participate in customer meetings, technical reviews, design reviews, and certification activities
  • ability to ensure engineering deliverables comply with customer requirements, FAA regulations, and aerospace industry standards
  • ability to identify opportunities to improve engineering processes, design standards, and product reliability
