Job Summary
Design ground-up electrical systems using AutoCAD Electrical, creating schematics, power distribution layouts, and safety circuits. Engineer precise panel layouts and generate comprehensive Bills of Materials specifying hardware and cabling. Program Allen-Bradley and Rockwell PLC logic and HMI interfaces for high-mix custom automation builds. Validate shop-floor wiring and integrate FANUC robotics and vision platforms like Cognex and Keyence. Conduct client commissioning trips for system startup and handoff. Own complete electrical projects from concept to live deployment in a zero-micromanagement environment.
Required Qualifications
- Associate (A.S.) or Bachelor's (B.S.) Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or related field
- US Citizen or Green Card holder
- Permanent residence within daily commuting radius of Oak Creek / South Milwaukee area
- 3+ years of electrical design from scratch
- Panel layout design
- Detailed Bill of Materials (BOM) creation
- Allen-Bradley / Rockwell PLCs & HMIs
- FANUC robotics
- Cognex/Keyence vision
- Shop-floor wiring
- Proven track record designing complete industrial electrical schematics
- Designing control circuits and panel layouts
- Creating Bill of Materials from scratch (AutoCAD / ACAD Electrical)
- Verifiable hands-on experience programming Allen-Bradley / Rockwell PLCs and configuring HMI control systems for industrial machinery
- Demonstrated history of solid job stability, career progression, and long-term commitment with previous employers
- Willingness and ability to travel 10–15% domestically for client startups and system commissioning
- Must reside within a comfortable daily commuting distance of the Oak Creek / South Milwaukee, WI area
- Hold US Citizenship or a Green Card
Desired Qualifications
- FANUC Robotics Integration: Experience programming, teaching paths, or interfacing FANUC robotic arms alongside PLC cell controllers
- Advanced Vision & SCADA: Familiarity with Cognex, Keyence, FANUC iR Vision systems, or Ignition SCADA platforms
- Hands-On Electrical Assembly: Direct experience with panel wiring, motor drive configuration (VFDs), and low-voltage field device wiring
