Job Summary

Own EMC test readiness end-to-end by translating designs into test configurations and driving schedules across teams. Create test systems for development, qualification, and validation phases while defining cable harnesses, breakout interfaces, and hardware setups. Collaborate with software engineers on test modes, telemetry, and DUT operating modes, then develop documentation and track delivery of fixtures and equipment. Proactively manage schedules to eliminate dead time, maintain visibility into risks, and escalate early to keep milestones on track. Conduct root cause analysis for vehicle integration and field operations.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent
  • 3+ years design experience with NX CAD software for 3D modeling and drafting
  • Proficient in designing electrical harnessing for rugged commercial, industrial, aerospace, or military applications
  • Familiarity with common electrical bus interfaces (CAN, Ethernet, RS422, RS232, MIL-STD-1553)
  • Proficient with schematic capture and PCB layout tools (e.g., Altium Designer, OrCAD, KiCad)
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and cable harness drawings
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and engineering documentation tools
  • Must possess excellent communication skills
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance

Desired Qualifications

  • Experienced and familiar with aircraft avionics module vendors and avionics component suppliers in UAS programs
  • Exposure to EMC/EMI testing or familiarity with MIL-STD-461G test methods
  • Experience working in or supporting EMC test lab environments (shielded rooms, anechoic chambers)
  • Familiarity with EMC test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, LISNs, current probes, or signal generators
  • Experience with simulation tools (e.g., LTspice, MATLAB, ADS) for filter or signal analysis
