Job Summary
Lead electrical maintenance across plant operations by developing comprehensive programs, managing urgent failures, and supervising personnel to ensure system reliability and safety. Utilize SAP to create work orders, track history, and manage parts inventory while conducting safety audits, training staff, and overseeing contractor activities. Plan shutdowns, analyze equipment data to predict failures, and collaborate with operations and planning teams to align resources and update schedules. Participate in the on-call rotation and hiring decisions for electrical personnel. Drive continuous improvement initiatives and ensure full compliance with NEC, NFPA 70E, and MSHA regulations in heavy industrial environments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field
- Minimum of five years of experience as an Electrical Supervisor or Coordinator in heavy industry, mining, or cement operations
- Minimum of five years of hands-on electrical experience in an industrial environment
- Proven experience leading and supervising electrical teams
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems in heavy industrial environments including cement or mining operations
- Experience with VFDs, low and medium voltage switchgear, I/O systems, protective relays, industrial motors, and instrumentation
- Working knowledge of SAP or similar maintenance management systems
- Understanding of National Electrical Code (NEC) and industrial electrical standards
- Knowledge of NFPA 70E and electrical safety practices
- Familiarity with MSHA regulations and safety requirements
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field preferred
- Experience in cement or mining industry strongly preferred
- Preferred certifications and training include MSHA Part 46, NFPA 70E, and other relevant safety certifications
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems in heavy industrial environments including cement or mining operations
- Experience with VFDs, low and medium voltage switchgear, I/O systems, protective relays, industrial motors, and instrumentation
- Working knowledge of SAP or similar maintenance management systems
