Electrical Supervisor

Job Summary

Lead electrical maintenance across plant operations by developing comprehensive programs, managing urgent failures, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Utilize SAP to create work orders, track history, and oversee parts inventory while conducting safety audits and training staff. Supervise the electrical department, plan shutdowns, manage contractors, and analyze equipment data to predict failures and drive continuous improvement. Participate in on-call rotation and hiring decisions. Collaborate with operations, planning, and engineering teams to align resources with production needs.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field
  • Minimum of five years of experience as an Electrical Supervisor or Coordinator in heavy industry, mining, or cement operations
  • Minimum of five years of hands-on electrical experience in an industrial environment
  • Proven experience leading and supervising electrical teams
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems in heavy industrial environments including cement or mining operations
  • Experience with VFDs, low and medium voltage switchgear, I/O systems, protective relays, industrial motors, and instrumentation
  • Working knowledge of SAP or similar maintenance management systems
  • Understanding of National Electrical Code (NEC) and industrial electrical standards
  • Knowledge of NFPA 70E and electrical safety practices
  • Familiarity with MSHA regulations and safety requirements
  • Strong technical and operational expertise

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in cement or mining industry strongly preferred
  • Preferred certifications and training include MSHA Part 46, NFPA 70E, and other relevant safety certifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field preferred
