Job Summary
Plan, estimate, schedule, and control complex industrial electrical operations on US Navy ships while ensuring adherence to production schedules, safety policies, and ship specification requirements. Direct, mentor, and train electrical personnel across shipboard and offsite locations, managing resources, tools, and calibrated equipment to maintain quality and efficiency. Collaborate with Project Management, Quality Assurance, and Estimating teams to coordinate work, resolve roadblocks, and develop project proposals. Maintain employee records, approve timecards, and track progress against integrated production schedules.
Required Qualifications
- 10 Years experience in the Shipboard Electrical Industry
- Must be proficient in paperwork and all Microsoft Office suite of applications.
- Microsoft Project
- Adobe Acrobat DC
- OSHA 10 Training
- Deep understanding of NAVSEA Standard Items. 009-73, 009-123 and 009-25, MIL-STD and EPISM
- Active Secret Security Clearance
- Must have the leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills necessary to create and maintain healthy, thriving, dependable, and compliant work environments
- Must be familiar with NAVSEA Standard Items and ABS standards
- Must have the ability to read, comprehend, and translate detailed and complicated customer work items, requirements, specifications, references, drawings, and wiring diagrams
- U.S. citizenship
Desired Qualifications
- Experience on US Navy ships
- Knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures in U.S. Navy ship design, production, test, operations, maintenance, and modernization
- Experience in marine electrical systems installations, maintenance, and repair
- Lean Six Sigma certification
- Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
