Job Summary
Electrical Superintendent on a data center construction project responsible for field supervision of electrical subcontractors and self-performed work, coordinating with the project manager on budget and schedule, leading safety and quality programs, coordinating with clients, A/E firms, Owner's Rep, and subcontractors, overseeing commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical systems, and ensuring proper project closeout and demobilization. Requires 8+ years in data center/critical facilities MEP construction, expertise in backup power and distribution systems, budgeting and change orders management, and strong leadership and communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of data center / critical facilities MEP Construction experience
- Heavy understanding of backup power and power distribution systems (UPSs, switchgear, PDUs, transfer switches)
- Understanding of electrical systems including testing, MOPs/SOPs, commissioning, troubleshooting
- Experience on construction projects with budgets > $50mm
- Experience directing and/or supporting commissioning
- Strong communication skills
- Proficiency with PC/Microsoft tools
- Administrative experience with change orders, billing, reporting
- Military experience in electrical/mechanical roles is a plus
