Job Summary
Oversee and manage all field-based electrical operations on commercial and industrial projects, ensuring safety compliance, quality workmanship, efficient scheduling, and cost control. Supervise electricians, foremen, and subcontractors while interpreting blueprints, schematics, and drawings to guide installations and resolve discrepancies. Monitor workplace safety procedures, schedule manpower, coordinate daily work assignments, and oversee material ordering and inventory management. Participate in job walks, pre-construction meetings, and daily planning sessions to track progress and report issues to the Project Manager. Troubleshoot field-level electrical and instrumentation issues in real-time and provide training to foremen and crews. Maintain documentation for daily logs, inspections, and change orders.
Required Qualifications
- Experience overseeing and managing field-based electrical operations on commercial and industrial projects
- Knowledge of applicable electrical codes and safety regulations
- Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and drawings
- Experience with OSHA guidelines
- Ability to schedule manpower and coordinate daily work assignments
- Experience with material ordering, delivery, and inventory management
- Experience conducting job walks, pre-construction meetings, and daily planning meetings
- Ability to interface with Project Managers to track progress and report issues
- Experience maintaining documentation related to daily work logs, inspections, incidents, and change orders
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve field-level electrical and instrumentation issues in real-time
- Experience providing training and mentorship to foremen and field crews
