Job Summary
Electrical Specialist responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and maintaining motors, generators, transformers, switches, control equipment, wiring, electrical signal and communication systems at the New Castle Generating Station; supports 480V–13.8KV electrical systems, conducts electrical isolations per industry standards, provides training on electrical safety, assists with planned outages, and supports the Niles Peaker CT facility in Ohio as needed. Strong journeyman electrician background with experience in a power plant or heavy industrial setting, ability to work safely under NAES safety rules, and capability to document maintenance activities and participate in outage support.
Required Qualifications
- High school or trade school diploma or equivalent plus four years of journeyman electrician experience
- Journeyman Electrician experience preferably in power plant or heavy industrial setting
- Experience inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and installing motors, generators, transformers, switches, and control systems
- Experience with voltages from 480V to 13.8KV and high voltage switchyard maintenance
- Ability to perform electrical system isolations per standards and provide Electrical Safety training
- Strong organizational skills and PC proficiency
- Valid, unrestricted U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to read procedures and instructions specific to the area of assignment
- Fitness for duty and drug screening as part of pre-employment processes
