Electrical Service Technician (Journeyman Electrician)

Job Summary
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial electrical systems, equipment, and controls for clients throughout the San Antonio area. Perform service calls, preventive maintenance, and emergency repairs while installing wiring, panels, lighting, and small commercial installations. Manage service work and special projects from start to finish, ensuring all tasks comply with the National Electrical Code and safety standards. Communicate professionally with customers and facility managers, completing accurate documentation and inspection reports. Requires a TDLR Journeyman Electrician license, valid driver's license, and ability to travel throughout South Texas, including occasional overnight stays. Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency responses.
Required Qualifications
- TDLR Journeyman Electrician license in the state of Texas
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic experience in commercial electrical systems
- Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and industry best practices
- Ability to size conductors, interpret drawings and blueprints, and complete electrical installations and repairs with minimal supervision
- Ability to drive a company service vehicle and travel to customer sites throughout the assigned service area
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Participation in an on-call rotation
- Occasional night and after-hours work
- Periodic travel throughout South Texas and surrounding areas, including occasional overnight stays
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with switchgear, transformers, motor controls, lighting controls, and power distribution systems
- Experience servicing and installing electrical systems in commercial and industrial facilities, including schools, hospitals, office buildings, high-rises, data centers, and distribution/warehouse facilities
