Job Summary
Electrical Service Technician II in Norfolk, VA responsible for troubleshooting and diagnosing electrical circuits, working with 3-phase motors, generators and switchboards, motor starters, alarms/automation, Xenox fixtures, grounding systems, and reading prints. Performs routine maintenance and repairs to pumps, supervises and trains level III technicians, assists in managing projects, and participates in a 24/7 on-call and travel-involving schedule. Requires proficiency with multimeter/amp meter/megger, and adherence to safety/operational policies; role supports a 24/7 operation with overtime. Direct-hire or temp-to-hire arrangement; no benefits during temp period.
Required Qualifications
- Education - High School diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in electrical service industry
- Capable of acquiring valid TWIC
- Possess a valid driver license
- Clean driving record with no DWI convictions
- Pass a criminal background check
- Pass a drug and alcohol test
- Good communications skills
- Professional manner in dealing with other employees, management, and customers
- Organizational Skills
- Basic mechanical skills
