Job Summary
Electrical Service Technician responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, testing, and repairing electrical systems including lighting, power, emergency power, switchgear, transformers, motors, motor controls, relays, PLCs, VFDs, and data cabling. Lead and supervise electricians and apprentices on service calls and projects; review blueprints and specifications to plan work; coordinate with Service/Project Managers and customers to resolve issues and maintain schedules. Perform preventive maintenance, ensure code compliance, mentor employees, deliver excellent customer service, and participate in after-hours on-call rotation. Required Qualifications
- Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and submittals to determine project requirements and plan work procedures
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team depending on job requirements
- Experience supervising and mentoring employees in electrical methods, equipment operation, safety procedures, and company policies
- Experience troubleshooting, testing, and repairing electrical systems including lighting, power, emergency power, switchgear, transformers, motors, motor controls, relays, PLCs, and VFDs
- Strong customer service skills and ability to maintain professional client relationships
- Ability to participate in after-hours emergency on-call rotation
- Strong planning, scheduling, and leadership abilities
- Familiarity with safety standards and applicable codes
