Electrical Senior Project Engineer

Job Summary
Lead engineering and delivery of mechanical and electrical components across diverse projects from design and documentation through to construction, commissioning, and handover. Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants while collaborating with Design Leads, Project Managers, and site teams to support safe, high-quality outcomes in water, power, and renewable sectors. Review and develop construction drawings, documentation, and project records, applying strong financial management, forecasting, and budgeting skills. Maintain oversight of quality assurance, project controls, safety, and environmental requirements. Supervise and support Project Engineers, Site Engineers, and Supervisors within a collaborative leadership style.
Required Qualifications
- A tertiary qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- RPEQ qualification, or the ability to obtain this within the next 6 months
- A current Class C Driver's Licence
- Minimum 7 years' demonstrated project engineering experience within an industrial or commercial environment
- Demonstrated experience managing subcontractors, suppliers and consultants
- Strong capability in reviewing and developing construction drawings, documentation and project records
- Experience in financial management, forecasting, budgeting and project reporting
- Strong understanding of quality assurance, project controls, safety and environmental requirements
- Excellent communication, organisational and time management skills
- A collaborative leadership style, with the ability to supervise and support Project Engineers, Site Engineers and Supervisors
