Job Summary
Assess the company's safety training needs and design programs ranging from first aid/CPR to equipment training for new and existing employees. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations while implementing preventive measures and recommending improvements on safety issues. Stay current with the latest trends and innovations in the field of safety. Occasional travel with overnight stays to out of state job sites is required. Compensation is commensurate with experience; background check and drug screen are mandatory for all eligible candidates.
Required Qualifications
- CSHO in Construction, General Industry, or both
- Knowledge of federal and state safety regulations and procedures
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship
- Employment at Cummings is subject to background check and drug screen
Desired Qualifications
- Safety training experience preferred, but will train the right person
- Electrical experience a plus but not necessary
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Collaborative work style with a results-oriented approach
- Intermediate computer skills using Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Accurate and detail-oriented with all assignments
- Occasional travel with overnight stays to out of state job sites
